Feedback

I love the feedback I've been getting, via email and comments. It's so great and I will post more pictures of the boy to satisfy the cousin. Daily.
Lorraine- everyone finds the gym intimidating at first. It's never love at first sight. You have to find a match that you can work with and then commit to it. After a month or so the awkwardness goes away and it just feels good. Maybe finding one with features that appeal to you would work. Less of the exercise stuff and more of the pool, sauna, steamroom stuff. That way you can always go there just to have an hour long swim (float), sauna session. Relaxation and making personal space are suitable exercises.

Eggs, zucchini, red pepper and chicken. + watered down
apple juice.
I ran 7 km before breakfast. I have a marathon training plan I'm following. I've tried to tell myself that I can adapt during the week, since I'll be so busy but I know I wont. I HAVE to follow the schedule. There is no peace of mind if I don't do it exactly. Black/white. Ooh, also I had to add the chicken cuz' it tasted squishy nothing. Avoiding salt.

Broccoli and hummus.

Apples with peanut butter.
I had to buy some good peanut butter. I tried making my own. Blender said no way. And I bought raw nuts, forgot to roast them first, tasted not right. Fail. But I found all these really nice nut butters at the health food shop. Anyway. The dinner out was just pizza at brother of manfriends' house. Didn't bother taking pictures. Cheese, tummy, ow.
This morning I took dog out, then made 2 kinds of pancakes.

Crazy pancake batter.
The first kind was ordinary. Second made with rice milk, barley flour, oats, some fibre flake stuff that looks like saw dust. And an egg.

My crazy pancakes were SO good. I put a bit of peanut butter, honey and some banana slices on top. Made the man eat one off my plate cuz I had to prove my pancake excellence. Extras stored in the fridge for later.

Friday

Chicken salad breakfast

Apple bread with sunflower butter all day long

Thai lunch and dinner

I also had a pear, an orange, coffee (with coconut milk), tea (with rice milk), and pistachios. A lot of pistachios. The man looked at the bag and told me that I ate the equivalent of one and a half big macs. He always does that. Not sure if it's to push my buttons or if he's just obtaining knowledge. Both, I guess. Everything is measused by how many big macs it equals. I'll call him noodle legs today to get back at him.

The grandparents are here for a funeral. Couple days only. Haven't seen them, but they have our car. We are going for dinner tonight (Saturday). Not sure where, but I will take pictures.

I'm getting really good at being meh about chocolate and sweets. Last night the man and kid were all over some Spanish chocolates gifted to us by the grandfolk. My mind tried to explain to me that it would be justified in eating the entire box and I still resisted. Mind games only happen at night. Funny.

Break Up Party

I'm done with dairy. Everytime I've eaten a regular amount of it I suffer. Okay, maybe I've eaten too much of it lately, with the butter on the bread, all the latte's and the overnight oats. And cheese. I wont get into the symptoms I get. They're gross. Grosser than what you can imagine.

Speaking of gross. My toilet has a really strong flush-spray delivery. I need to find a better location for my face towels and toothbrush. We have recently renegotiated the toilet terms. Now the seat is to be lifted, unless lowering it is imperative. Afterwards it should be returned to it's upright position. I may be the sucker on that family rule BUT I have knowledge that I don't intend to share immediately. Flush-spray.

Orange snacks and a crazy kid

Soy milk sucks. Same with oat milk. Rice milk is alright. It doesn't curdle when you add it to milk. But it isn't really white enough. I tried adding some coconut milk with the rice milk into my coffee. It's good. I want to put coconut milk in everything.
Also, I'm going to try to make my own peanut butter. How can I have peanut butter and coconut milk at the same time.....spinach smoothie. No. Porridge.

Busy days

The kid likes to style his hair. He does not like the taste of hairspray.
Breakfast. Porridge with egg whites, banana and homemade muesli.

School lunch. Vegetable steaks, potatoes, salad and sour milk.

Bread. Ate almost the whole loaf.

The bread was not supposed to be my dinner. I made salad for the man and pizza for the boy. And I had 200g of dried apricots right before the bread, so I had zero appetite for a meal. Bread and apricot dinner.

I also went to the gym in the morning and ran outside at night.

Lately

The kid talks about his Star Wars Wii game A LOT. Things are busy and getting crazier by the day. I like it. It's nice to know that I have a million things to do.

Listen to this guy.

Eat these overnight oats.

Pay attention to this investigator.

Make sure this guy eats.

Eat these.

Drink this.

Mmm, chicken salad.

Kebab lunch.
Things are pretty messy, being overbooked everywhere for my nursing placements. I'm lucky that I can choose from a few different places where I want to be, but calling to explain that 2 teachers as well as myself have reserved work periods that all overlap is tough. I'd like to take all the jobs actually and it makes me nervous to have to say no to people. Still, it's nice to be in demand even though I've said some dumbass stuff through translation. Like the time I tried to ask my supervisor if I could watch her do something and I actually asked if I could be inside of her ass. My last work colleages told me I should have a shirt made that reads 'FOREIGNER...sorry.' I should probably go to do some of that stuff I have to do. But- my diet is good. I run every day and work out 4x a week. Tomorrow I'll meet a friend so that we can work out together. Love girl workout dates. Monday my schedule changes again and I'll be lucky if I can manage to get to the gym 3 times a week. I'll try to follow my marathon training program but I might need to adapt.

Bread

Our bread machine is the best. The man makes bread almost every day. We eat more bread than anything else. Sometimes I think I should slow down on the bread consumption, but it's just so good on so many levels. The man creates nourishment. Such an achievement. Food IS love.
I told Emma the other day that I'm without alcohol. Tee-total. Straight. Her reaction was that I cannot be on our ladies night. I'm thinking about it (only a little) and I'm not sure where I'll stand on this come summer. I don't really stand, I guess. Being without alcohol isn't a big deal for me, neither is it any cause. I don't really care and I'm not any activist type. Not having an opinion is the difficulty, I guess, since I'm not very interested in choices. Hmm. Maybe in the summer my thoughts will be more concrete. Probably not.

Hats

I bought cool hats. Now, after a great solid 9 weeks of cold and snow it's a stupid warm 2 degrees outside. So I'm staying inside to eat bread. The whole city is a big mucky puddle. School starts again tomorrow. Our Christmas tree is outside in the wetness and I'd like to go get him and bring him back in. I should probably do something. Maybe read my horoscope and take a nap.
I just previewed this post and there were crazy big pics in duplicate. Not keen to fix.

A 3 Day Update

I have not been vigilant about the past few days. Not sure why. A bit of laziness mixed with nothing interesting to say, I guess. Plus, I'm having technical difficulties. It had been so easy before, making the pictures magic themselves into the computer. Not so much today. Working on it. Hope to be back soon:)
